National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the Survivors of these institutions. Also known as Orange Shirt Day, it serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging and addressing the truths of our past, as well as working towards reconciliation.
Today we listen to, learn from, and honour the Survivors, and remember the children who never returned home.
