Travelling Exhibit
Beyond Blue & White
On now at the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre –In late 2016, a collection of over 400 Canadian-themed Wedgwood pieces, was donated to the King Heritage Cultural Centre (KHCC) by the Estate of the late Keith Alwyn McLeod (1935-2014); it is arguably the most complete collection of Canadian-themed Wedgwood in existence.
Beyond Blue & White: Wedgwood Designed for Canada is a new travelling exhibit designed by KHCC staff and available for rental by other institutions. The exhibit explores the Canadian theme and showcases over 60 unique pieces of Wedgwood.
Highlights of Industry
On now at the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre – In case you missed our popular “Clarington At Work” exhibit, we have selected a sampling of the artifacts to remain on display. Explore the industries and innovations of Clarington’s history through the work tools, clothing, locations, and remarkable careers within the community in the past & present.
Waverley Place
Waverley Place historic home is furnished and exhibited to depict an Edwardian period (1900-1930s) home. It is set up in period fashion and shows the lifestyle of a wealthy merchant family in this area. Many of the items were made in Clarington or have a strong historical connection to the area.
