  • Clarington Library, Museums & Archives Enriching Heritage and Building Community this Fall

    October 20, 2025—Clarington Library, Museums & Archives is continuing its busy fall season with a full slate of events that celebrate Clarington’s local heritage and help build community connections. A walking tour, a speaker series with local historians, and a heritage fair with community organizations and history groups, along with a Customer Appreciation Day, Repair Café, and local vendors market are all happening this October and November.

  • PA Day, October 24

    Make this October 24 PA Day epic! Take part in a Mad Scientists Laboratory, go on a Creepy Crawly Adventure, and enjoy a delicious LEGO Lunch at Boston Pizza!

  • Counting Week

    Show your support! Visit the library, check out an item, sign up for a library card, go to a storytime or author visit, stream an album or audiobook, make a 3D print, join a tour, explore your family history, and discover something new! It all counts during Counting Week!

  • National Day for Truth & Reconciliation

    National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the Survivors of these institutions. Also known as Orange Shirt Day, it serves as a reminder of the importance of acknowledging and addressing the truths of our past, as well as working towards reconciliation.
     
    Today we listen to, learn from, and honour the Survivors, and remember the children who never returned home.

  • Celebrate Culture and Community at Clarington Library, Museums & Archives

    September 5, 2025—Clarington Library, Museums & Archives is excited to host a full line-up of cultural programming this fall. From events commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, multilingual storytimes, and multicultural celebrations, long-time residents and newcomers alike will find something to enjoy and discover at their local CLMA location.

  • Drag Queen Storytime Returns to Clarington

    May 21, 2025—Clarington Library, Museums & Archives (CLMA) is thrilled to once again host the award-winning event Drag Queen Storytime in partnership with Durham Region Libraries, the Durham Children’s Aid Society, Youth Pride Durham, and the Municipality of Clarington. The storytime will take place on Saturday, June 7, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Bowmanville Library.
