Enjoy the Clarington Winter WonderLearn Festival this Family Day

February 5, 2024—Mark you calendar and save the date! Clarington Library, Museums & Archives is thrilled to announce the award-winning Winter WonderLearn Festival will return for 2024. The Festival is being held on the Family Day holiday Monday, February 19, 2024, from 10am to 2pm at CLMA’s Courtice Library and the Courtice Community Complex.

Families can enjoy interactive demonstrations and activities offered by a number of local organizations. Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue will be offering interactive shows with their Animal Ambassadors throughout the day. Children put on their "listening ears" and use their "owl eyes" to uncover and discover unique adaptations that native species have to survive in WILD Ontario and its four seasons. Families can also enjoy a performance from children’s entertainer Scott Gardner and Walter the Guitar. The Municipality of Clarington will be offering face painting and a free swim at the Courtice Community Complex from 11am to 1pm.

“We’re beyond excited to be offering the Festival once again fully in-person,” states Monika Machacek, Chief Executive Officer of Clarington Library, Museums, & Archives. “It’s a highlight of our winter programming. The Festival encourages families to explore the learning and recreation opportunities here in Clarington, and allows our local community partners to reach new audiences. It’s a wonderful, and free, way to enjoy the Family Day holiday together.”

The Winter WonderLearn Festival is being held on Family Day Monday, February 19, from 10am to 2pm at the Courtice Library of Clarington Library, Museums & Archives (inside the Courtice Community Complex, 2950 Courtice Rd.) More information and a list of participating organizations may be found on CLMA’s website at CLMA gratefully acknowledges the festival’s key sponsor, Ontario Power Generation.
